After-Hours Market Movement: Intel, Ford, Roku, Enphase Energy and More

Investors are cheering Intel as the tech giant's stock jumped nearly 6%. Intel projected third-quarter adjusted earnings of 20 cents per share, compared to the 16 cents per share estimated by Refinitiv. Ford moved 1% higher as the auto giant beat second-quarter expectations and raised its full-year guidance. They reported 72 cents in adjusted earnings per share on $42.43 billion, while analysts on Refinitiv estimated 55 cents earned and $40.38 billion in revenue. Roku's stock advanced 8.5% after their second-quarter earnings came in better than anticipated, with the company posting a narrower-than-expected loss of 76 cents per share and revenue of $847 million, beating the consensus estimate of $775 million. First Solar rose 6.6% after solidly beating Wall Street predictions in the second quarter, earning $1.59 per share and reporting $811 million in revenue, while analysts surveyed by Refinitiv anticipated 96 cents and $721 million, respectively. Enphase Energy dropped 12% as its financial report was mixed. The company said it earned $1.47 per share, adjusted, higher than the $1.25 per share estimated by analysts, per Refinitiv. However, revenue missed the consensus estimate of $722 million, coming in at $711 million. Sweetgreen's shares slid 7% after they fell short of revenue expectation for the quarter. The salad chain reported $153 million, while Refinitiv predicted $157 million. Dexcom's medical device stock rose 2% following a better-than-expected quarterly result and guidance. They earned 34 cents per share, excluding items, on revenue of $871.3 million, exceeding the 23 cents per share and $841.2 million in revenue estimated by FactSet. Dexcom also raised full-year revenue guidance to between $3.5 billion and $3.55 billion, surpassing the average analyst's prediction of $3.5 billion. T-Mobile's telecommunications stock dropped 1.6% on a combination of earnings report for the second quarter. They earned $1.86 per share, ahead of the analyst consensus of $1.69, per Refinitiv. Nevertheless, revenue lagged expectations, with T-Mobile posting $19.2 billion as Wall Street forecasted $19.31 billion. Boston Beer's shares climbed 9% after the alcoholic beverage firm reaffirmed guidance for the full year and exceeded the expectations in their quarterly report. They earned $4.72 per share on $603 million in revenue, while Refinitiv anticipated $3.43 per share and $593 million in revenue.
