Biggest Stock Price Changes at Midday: Shutterstock, Newell Brands, Zillow and Beyond

. At midday trading, a number of stocks have been making headlines. Shutterstock shares surged 10% following its announcement of a multi-year partnership extension with OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT. Newell Brands saw their stock jump double digits after Canaccord began covering it with a buy rating. The Wall Street firm expressed confidence in its new management, predicting modest sales growth, increased profitability and reduced debt. Zillow stock climbed 11% in response to Piper Sandler upgrading the real estate company to an overweight rating. Salesforce upped its prices on cloud-based services, prompting a stock increase of over 2%. WD-40 stock skyrocketed after it reported better-than-predicted third-quarter results, with a 15% growth in total net sales. 3M was raised to hold from underperform by Bank of America, causing their stock to rise 3.5%. Amazon experienced a 1% increase in stock upon the commencement of their two-day Prime Day summer sale. JetBlue Airways experienced a 2% decrease after Evercore ISI downgraded the airline's shares from overweight to underweight. Chinese electric vehicle company Xpeng saw their U.S. listed shares jump 3% following Goldman Sachs initiating coverage of the stock with a buy rating. Jefferies upgraded JPMorgan Chase to a buy rating, causing the bank stock to go up 1.3%. Novo Nordisk, maker of weight loss drug Wegovy, plummeted 3% due to Reuters reporting that most patients stop taking the drug after a year. Scotts Miracle-Gro was raised to a buy rating by Truist, causing their shares to soar 7%. Generator manufacturer Generac was elevated to buy by Argus Research, prompting a 4.5% stock increase. U.S. Bancorp was given a buy rating by Bank of America, causing their stock to surge over 3%. Iovance Biotherapeutics experienced a 11% drop in their stock after announcing their public offering of $150 million in common stock.
