Mark Thompson Named as Next CNN Head

Warner Bros. Discovery has tapped Mark Thompson for the role of CEO and chairman of CNN. Previously, Thompson was president and CEO of The New York Times and director-general of the BBC. This announcement follows the departure of Chris Licht after a few months.
